The church in Truro is led by the EFGI Pastoral Team and is in the centre of the town – 5 minutes walk from both bus and train stations. They have a great leadership team working with them and these churches are made up of people from all walks of life along with many nationalities, all working together to fulfil the great commission “Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel.”
The Bible gives a clear vision of the early church and we read in the Acts of the Apostles of spirit-filled Christians who worshipped the Lord.’ The Bible shows us through the lives of those in the Bible how to express our worship and in these services you will experience and discover that biblical expressions of worship are still practiced today.
We sing with all our hearts because:We testify to what and how the Lord has been part of our lives:Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth; make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise – Psalm 98 v 4
You will find people clapping:in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee – Psalm 22 v 22
We lift our hands in praise:O clap your hands, all ye people – Psalm 47 v 1
We anoint with oil for divine healing:Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord – Psalm 134 v 2
is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord – James 5 v 14
We allow the operation of the spiritual gifts because 1 Cor. 14 v 26 “when you come together, everyone of you has a psalm, has a doctrine, has a tongue, has a revelation, has an interpretation.”
Church is an exciting place to be and whether you are local or on holiday visiting the area there is a place for you.
